Cheeseburger Pie

Cheeseburger Pie Recipe

pre-heat oven to 400

1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1/4 tsp salt
1 – 2 cups + shredded cheese
1/2 cup Bisquick mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs

Grease 9-inch pie plate

Cook beef and onion until done, drain
Spread beef & onion mixture in pie plate
next, layer with salt and cheese.

In medium bowl
stir together ;
bisquick, milk and eggs until blended.
Pour over beef, onion and cheese mixture.

Bake for about 25 minutes.

variations;
use shredded Monterey jack- Colby blend
use shredded Cheddar
or for a more Tex Mex flavor;
use a shredded Mexican cheese blend
1 cup yellow corn, drained
when cooking the beef and onions toss in 1/2 cup of chopped red and / or green pepper.
or
Add a packet of taco seasoning in when cooking your ground beef and onion mixture.

In place of shredded cheddar, use the three Mexican cheese blend.

In the photo, I used shredded Monterey Jack and Colby blend.
This is a great recipe to use what you have on hand or to change according to what sounds good for dinner…
