Club Soda Biscuit Recipe



4 Cups biscuit mix
4 oz Sour Cream
1 Cup Club Soda, unrefrigerated, room temperature
1 stick butter or margarine, melted

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a large bowl, stir together biscuit mix, sour cream and club soda.

Place on floured surface and knead very lightly.
Roll out to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut out with biscuit cutter.

Pour half of the butter into a glass casserole dish.
Place biscuits in the dish and pour remaining
butter over top of biscuits.

Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.



Buttermilk Biscuit Recipe

4 cups self-rising flour
1 tbs. sugar
1 tbs. baking powder
2 cups + buttermilk
2/3 c. shortening

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a large bowl;
Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder buttermilk and shortening, but do not knead.
Roll out to 1 inch thick.
Cut out biscuits and brush tops with additional buttermilk.

Place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes.
