How to Grow tomatoes on your patio



Did you know, all varieties of tomatoes will grow and thrive in large containers or pots ?
Even if you have a small space you can still have fresh garden tomatoes. Container gardening is a wonderful alternative for assuring you have fresh tomatoes all season long. The only drawback is you MUST make sure you water frequently since there is no root system to spread out under the soil.

Simple Instructions:

1). Take a 5 gallon pot, using a ceramic, terra cotta or plastic container -making sure it has
drainage holes.

2). Add a healthy prepared soil mix.

3.) Place your favorite red or yellow tomato plant in the soil. Make sure you start with a good size plant. Do not plant seeds or use an un-weathered sapling.

4). Make sure you place it in an area that gets good sunlight, keep it watered and well fertilized.

For added support place a tomato cage over the established tomato plant.

That’s it !

You will have home grown fresh tomatoes, roma, grape or cherry tomatoes all summer long!
